October 12, 2005 - Kuala Lumpur
Well I spent about 5 days in this city, and it was the nicest Asian city I had seen so far.
After arriving off of a night train first thing in the morning we made out way to china town where we heard there was a good hostel to stay in. Checked in and while the girls went out into the city i slept for most of the day... the trekking in the jungle took a lot out of me!
There are a lot of cool sights in KL, parks, towers and stuff, a colourful market, and the public transport is easy to navigate. And unlike many other Malaysian cities, it is not primarily muslim, so they don't really look at you like you are a hooker because you are wearing a skirt and a tank top!
So I am off tonight on the night train back into southern Thailand, I can't wait to be back in the land of smiles!!! Malaysia was alright, but compared to Thailand it was shit.
I have a few days to kill on the beach, then back to BKK to meet friends before heading north! Only about 7-8 weeks left in Asia i think... then off to the cold of the UK.
