This is probably going to seem like the dorkiest post ever, but what can I say- I love getting a deal! And I want to inspire YOU to be frugal, and show you how EASY it is to save money!

Here are the best deals I got this week, by combining coupons with sales.

Deal #1: Toothpaste

Picture
The toothpaste was on clearance at Walmart for $.50 each (regular price $1.29). In addition to the money I saved by buying clearance items, I had a $.75 cent coupon for any Crest paste from Brandsaver.

Regular price = 4 x $1.29 = $5.16

My price = 4 x $.50 = $2.00 - $.75 (coupon) = $1.25

Savings = $3.91

Deal #2: Axe Body Wash

Picture
This body wash is new, and was on sale at Superstore for $3.99 each (regular price $5.49- ouch!).

In addition to the sale, I had a buy-one-get-one-free coupon from Axe's facebook page. (coupon no longer available).

Regular price = 2 x $5.49 = $10.98

My price = 2 x $3.99 = $7.98 - $3.99 (buy 1 get 1 free coupon) = $3.99

Savings = $6.99

Deal #3: Jamieson Prenatal Vitamins

Picture
Prenatal vitamins are darn expensive! They are vital for mom's to take, both during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, so over the course of that time the cost can really add up.

This pack of vitamins is regularly priced at $17.49, but was on clearance at Walmart for $7.49. PLUS I had a $2.00 coupon that came inside the last pack of vitamins I bought. SCORE!

Regular Price: $17.49

My Price: $7.49 - $2.00 (coupon) = $5.49

Savings = $12.00 plus another $2.00 coupon inside that pack for my next box of prenatal vitamins!

NOTE: When buying items like this on clearance (vitamins, pain relievers, etc) it is important to CHECK EXPIRY DATES.

Deal #4: Aveeno Shampoo and Conditioner

Picture
I am the kind of girl who would NEVER spend $10+ on a bottle of shampoo. It just seemed silly to me when I could buy something with pretty much the same ingredients for less than half the price.

However, since becoming pregnant my hair has suffered immensely. While it is thicker (did you know pregnant women don't lose any hair?) it has become incredibly dry.

So when I saw this deal (buy two for $15.00) at Shoppers Drug Mart, I decided I would go ahead and try it, since it was on sale and I had a coupon to save $3.00 when you bought two Aveeno products.

NOT ONLY THAT, the shampoo had a bonus bottle of hair smoother attached to it.

Regular Price: 2 x $10.49 (shampoo and conditioner) + $7.49 (smoother) = $28.49

My price: 2 for $15.00 (plus bonus smoother, yay!) - $3.00 (coupon) = $12.00

Savings = $16.49

So, my total savings on these deals was $39.39. All for stuff we will definitely use. Seems like a pretty substantial amount of money to save to me, just by printing/ordering coupons I knew I could use, and watching flyers.

Remember, if you want to get started on saving money and couponing, Mrs. January's website is a wonderful place to get started.

Happy saving!
